My Journey

I was born and raised in Casablanca, Morocco where I've had the opportunity to attend an American School and complete the International Baccalaureate. I had the chance to grow up in a multicultural setting, experiencing the duality of an American culture paired with my Moroccan identity.

I've also developed my entrepreneurial and business spirit during my 18 years in Morocco, having grown amidst an industrial setting within the heavy duty steel fabrication industry and the agricultural sector.

I then moved to Lausanne, Switzerland to pursue a Microengineering degree at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) where I've gained a foundational understanding of the various engineering disciplines spamming across electronics, mechanics, material science, programming, and information technologies. This equipped me with the necessary tools to understand and interact with the various technologies surrounding us today whether it be understanding the functioning of transistors as the building blocks of complex circuitry, to the algorithms behind the artificial intelligence trend today, all the way to the microfabrication processes bringing these innovations to our fingertips.

To complete my bachelor studies, I've held a role as a project manager in the heavy duty steel fabrication industry where I became familiar with various manufacturing processes, operational and planning requirements, and the value behind coordinating and managing different teams and departments.

Having realized that the real value behind any business endeavor does not lie within the technical intricacies, but rather the ability to manage people, I decided to complement my technical foundations with a master's degree in the selective Management, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (MTE) program at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), that bridges the fields of finance, management, and engineering, thus affording me a well-rounded perspective on investments, business strategies, and supply chain dynamics.

After completing this program, I had the chance to work as a Venture Capital Investment Analyst in an investment fund based in Geneva, Switzerland at DAA Capital Partners, an investment fund that operates in the European Real Estate and Swiss Venture Capital sectors. This experience enabled me to experience the dynamic field of Venture Capital where I've analyzed different ventures and investment opportunities from both a technical and business perspective as well as experience the compliance and operational requirements of managing a fund.
